A live stream that feels like being there

We bring your event online as a reliable, professionally produced, high-quality multicamera broadcast. Live camera switching keeps your audience engaged and conveys the atmosphere of the event to remote viewers.

We can stream to all major video platforms, including YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook and Twitch. Our productions also meet the strict technical requirements of platforms such as Yle Areena and Ruutu.

An HD recording is always included, and we can also provide editing and post-production if required.

Broadcast-quality production

We scale the production to suit your event. In addition to standard production and PTZ cameras, our equipment includes advanced broadcast solutions such as Steadicams, camera cranes, cable cameras, miniature cameras and drones. Productions can range from a webinar or a seminar stream with a few cameras to a large multicamera broadcast.

For hybrid events, we use discreet remotely controlled cameras where appropriate. This keeps the audience at the venue undisturbed while providing remote viewers with high-quality, dynamic coverage that holds their attention.

When we also provide the event’s sound reinforcement, the broadcast receives high-quality audio directly from the venue’s sound system. For more demanding broadcast productions, we can provide a separate broadcast audio mix, optimising the sound balance specifically for remote viewers.

DCLive – a customised viewing experience

Our own DCLive streaming platform and international distribution network support tens of thousands of simultaneous viewers. Streams can also connect locations directly, such as a company’s different offices.

DCLive supports a range of advanced features. Extensive visual customisation creates a viewing experience that matches your event or brand, viewer registration enables lead collection, and seamless integration with our M-Wall® application supports discussions and polls that the audience at the venue can also join. At simultaneously interpreted events, interpreted language versions can be delivered to remote viewers too.

Frequently asked questions about live streaming

What does professional live streaming include?

A basic production includes cameras, live video switching, audio processing, graphics, broadcast connections and recording. The setup depends largely on the event programme and the visual impact you want to achieve. At its simplest, it might consist of one or two robotic cameras and a speech audio feed from the venue’s system. For a full broadcast-quality production, we can provide operated and robotic cameras, camera cranes, wireless Steadicams, replay systems and a separate broadcast audio mix to suit your event.

What are the benefits of multicamera production compared with a single camera?

Multicamera production allows switching between wide shots, close-ups of speakers or groups of speakers, and presentation materials. This makes the broadcast more dynamic and engaging, particularly during longer events. If required, the production can be scaled up to a broadcast-quality setup comparable to a television production.

What is DCLive?

DCLive is DC EventTech’s own streaming platform, with a visual design tailored to the client’s brand. It enables lead collection through viewer registration and audience participation through our M-Wall system. Compared with public platforms, it also has the advantage of no automated copyright restrictions. An international CDN allows the platform to scale easily to tens of thousands of viewers.

Will I receive a recording of the broadcast?

Yes. An HD recording is always included in the price of the streaming production. Separate editing and post-production are available as required. We deliver the unedited recording as a file approximately one day after the event ends.

Can a remote speaker join the programme at the venue?

Yes. A remote speaker’s video and audio can be brought into both the venue’s system and the live stream, allowing them to join an on-site panel discussion, for example. Remote connections always require additional equipment, so they need to be considered well in advance. We also strongly recommend testing the connection with the speaker before the event day.

What is the difference between a hybrid event and a virtual event?

A hybrid event has both an on-site audience and remote participants. At a virtual event, the audience follows the programme entirely online and only the performers or speakers attend the venue.

Can a live stream be multilingual?

Yes. We can integrate the simultaneous interpretation system we provide with the live broadcast, offering remote viewers different language versions depending on the viewing solution selected.

How do you ensure high-quality broadcast audio?

Microphones and the mixing approach are planned for both the audience at the venue and remote viewers listening through headphones. In demanding productions, a separate broadcast audio mix offers greater control because venue sound and broadcast audio behave differently. A separate broadcast mix allows speech and music levels to be optimised for remote viewers, who may be listening through headphones, for example.

How many cameras should an event use?

One camera may be sufficient for a simple, short speaking event, while panels and performances with several participants benefit from multiple camera angles. With a single camera, every camera movement is visible in the broadcast, and an audience member walking in front of the camera could block the entire view. The number of cameras is planned around the programme, camera positions and budget.

What determines the cost of live streaming?

The price depends on the number of cameras and amount of equipment, staffing, production duration, venue conditions, distribution platform and post-production work. An accurate estimate requires information about the programme, venue and audience size, among other details.
